Medicare Supplements

A Medigap policy is health insurance sold by private insurance companies to fill the “gaps” in Original Medicare plan coverage.  Insurance companies can only sell “standardized” Medigap policies.

Each Medigap plan has a different set of basic and extra benefits. Companies select from up to 12 different standardized plans to offer.

Each insurance company sets it own premiums.  There are only certain periods of time that a Medicare Beneficiary may enroll in a Medigap policy without medical underwriting.  These enrollment periods are know as “Open Enrollment” and “Guarantee Issue”.  The decisions that your Medicare aged clients face can be overwhelming.  Agency Services, Inc. has trained staff that can help you assist your client in making an informed decision about selecting a Medicare Supplement policy.
